Congratulations to Megan Kovach and Allie Russell whose volleyball club team, Pinellas Heat, qualified for the Junior Olympics in Reno, Nevada. Way to go girls and good luck in Reno! Allie was also invited to the High Performance Volleyball training and selection camp in June. She was selected from one of four tryouts that were held in Florida consisting of several hundred volleyball players. The Florida Region High Performance program is an All-Star program that allows outstanding youth and junior volleyball athletes to play for college coaches and represent the Florida Region at an international volleyball tournament. The USA Volleyball High Performance Championships are held in July in the Wisconsin Dells. Good luck, Allie!
